What can we say about this mess??? 3 black men were stopped after a police chase on Monday night in which the cops pulled them out of their cars and proceeded to kick, stomp, and beat them with their batons. This is sickening. We wonder did these corrupT officers know that there was a news helicopter hovering above taping this entire disgusting incident. A police officer was killed in the line of duty last week in Philly so they are saying that the other officers are on edge. Well we say to that they shouldn’t have badges and guns if they are going to ignore the training that they go through to protect and serve. This is just an issue that needs to be brought to light and dealt with. The beating of Rodney King in the 90’s brought police brutality to the forefront, and the violent murders of Amadou Dialo (in which he was shot at 41times for having a wallet and hit 19) and Sean Bell who was shot at 50 times and hit 16 in which all 3 of those dirty cops were acquitted. And people wonder why young people don’t trust cops.

A federal judge on Thursday sentenced the actor Wesley Snipes to three years in prison for willfully failing to file tax returns. Mr. Snipes, who was convicted in February, received one year for each count, to be served consecutively, and an additional year of probation. The sentence was handed down by Judge William Terrell Hodges of Federal District Court.

Mr. Snipes, who apologized for his actions before the sentence was announced, showed no immediate reaction to the verdict.

Three New York City detectives were found not guilty of all charges on Friday in the shooting death of an unarmed black man killed in a hail of 50 bullets on his wedding day, sparking an angry demonstration outside the courthouse.

A New York state judge cleared two police officers of manslaughter and other charges and a third of reckless endangerment in the death of Sean Bell, 23. Bell was shot, along with two friends, after a bachelor party at a strip club in November 2006.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been arrested at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 for allegedly spitting at a police officer, Sky News television reported Thursday.A London Metropolitan Police spokesman said a woman was arrested at the terminal for an assault on police, but refused to disclose her identity or give her age.The spokesman spoke on condition of anonymity in line with force policy.

BAA PLC, the company that runs Heathrow, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday.British Airways PLC, the terminal's sole occupant, referred questions to BAA.Campbell, a British fashion model, has a history of getting physical with assistants and employees, and has attended an anger management program.

In 2000, Campbell pleaded guilty in Toronto to an assault charge for beating an assistant while making a film in Canada in 1998. Under an agreement with prosecutors, Campbell expressed remorse and was released without punishment or a criminal record.

In January 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for throwing her mobile phone at her maid in a dispute over a missing pair of jeans.

Beyoncé Knowles and longtime beau Jay-Z have taken out a marriage license in Scarsdale Village, N.Y., PEOPLE has learned.

According to a source, the pair took out a license on Tuesday morning. The document is valid for 60 days.

A rep for Beyoncé told PEOPLE, "No comment." Jay-Z's spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

Beyoncé, 26, and Jay-Z, 38, have been dating since 2002, though the couple have stood reluctant to discuss their relationship publicly. Rumors about their romance began circulating after the singer appeared on Jay-Z's song "'03 Bonnie & Clyde," followed by collaborations on Beyoncé 's solo hit "Crazy In Love," in 2003v

The husband of British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae was found dead in an apartment in Leeds, England, the BBC reports. A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the home where they found saxophonist Jason Rae, 31, Saturday afternoon. In connection with the case, a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs, and was since released on bail, according to police. Reports say that Rae was the victim of a suspected overdose, however, results of a post mortem exam were inconclusive. Police are awaiting the results of a toxicology report, according to the BBC. Rae had been scheduled to play a gig with his band The Haggis Horns at the HiFi Club in Leeds Sunday. The show has been canceled. Bailey Rae, 29, and her husband met when the singer worked in as a coat room attendant at a jazz club in Leeds. They married in 2001. Bailey Rae's record label offered condolences to the singer in a statement released Sunday, saying, "EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time. We ask that the media respects Corinne's privacy and that of her entire family."

REGGAE ARTIST COCOA TEA WILL RELEASE A BARACK OBAMA SONG

Barack Obama has won what could be an influential endorsement among reggae fans: Jamaican singer Cocoa Tea, who's backing the Illinois senator in a new tune.

"This is not about class nor color, race nor creed," the veteran dancehall crooner sings in a version posted on the video Web site Dailymotion. "It's about the changes, what the Americans need."

The song goes on to call Obama a "trendsetter" and urge Americans "to unite as one" behind him.Cocoa Tea, whose real name is Calvin Scott, said Sunday that the tribute song "Barack Obama" will be released this week by New York's VP Records.

"The young people who are supporting him want change — and that's what he represents," said the singer, whose laid-back lyrical style made him a local star in the 1980s.

He becomes the second major Caribbean musician to endorse Obama in song, joining Trinidadian calypso star Mighty Sparrow who recently recorded a track titled "Barack the Magnificent."
