Chorebuster Organize and Distribute a Fair Chore Chart Online

I recently came across Chorebuster and love it! This cool site automatically creates a fair chore chart or schedule for you and others that you live with. Plus, it's FREE! Chores will even be emailed daily or weekly or print it out and post on the fridge.
  • Enter in people and chores
  • Specify how hard / undesirable each chore is, and how often it should be done
  • ChoreBuster automatically generates a fair schedule of chores
  • Schedule emailed to you daily or weekly - no need to log in
What I love even more is that you can download a widget and chores will appear on your desktop to easily view. It took me a few minutes to figure out because I'm not one to read instructions. But, it was really simple. Once it was downloaded, I right clicked the widget and added the ids that are provided in Chorebuster. Or, receive your schedule via RSS or on your mobile.

What a time saver!

Imbee Social Networking Site for Tweens to Create Blogs, Upload Pictures, and Join Groups

Social networking for kids? As a mom to three teenage girls, the idea of them hopping on the computer and networking with complete strangers on the internet is horrifing to me. Then I heard about Imbee and all of it's wonderful safety features and I couldn't wait to introduce it to my girls, who have been begging to join a social networking site.
"imbee.com is an online social networking community just for kids between the ages of 8 and 14. Much like MySpace or Facebook, imbee.com allows tweens to create their own page on the web and share stories, pictures, and thoughts with friends. The difference is that imbee.com is a completely safe and protected site. "
Features:
  • It's free.
  • Kids can create a blog, upload pictures, join and create groups, and make trading cards.
  • imbee is parent approved and teacher endorsed.
  • In order for kids sign up, an email is sent to parents for approval.
  • Parents have to sign in with a credit card for a child to join, so imbee knows it's parent approved and know who the "adult" is that's signed in.
  • Designed to provide parents with visibility to view their child's activities.
  • Parents can be as active or passive as they'd like, by choosing to receive emailed update reports in real time about everything their child is doing on the site or simply reviewing reports sent at the end of the day.
  • imbee.com has extremely limited search functionality, so kids can only become "friends" with other kids they actually know from school or activities.
  • The site is also completely closed to the Internet at large, so postings cannot be picked up by search engines.
  • And once a child graduates from imbee.com, all of their information is permanently deleted instead of languishing online for eternity.

See for yourself and you'll see why it's become so popular with kids, parents, and teachers.
