Rapper T.I.pleaded guilty yesterday to federal weapons possession charges and will receive a sentence that includes prison time after he completes a period of community service. In the year that he is awaiting sentencing, T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, must complete at least 1,000 hours of a total 1,500 hours of community service, talking to youth groups about the pitfalls of guns, gangs, and drugs. He will be sentenced to serve about 12 months in prison after completing the community service, officials said. (AP)

Rapper T.I. was released on bail on Friday for possession of weapons charge. The rapper also known as Clifford Harris will be on House Arrest until further notice.T.I. is allowed to have visitors,a limit of three visitors at a time between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.. In addition,he is not allowed to consume alcohol or harbor any weapons in his home.

Maybe they should just keep T.I. in jail because he just doesn't seem to get it. In the latest edition of Complex magazine,T.I. claims to be an American Gangster. I am sure his intention for doing the interview with Complex was to promote his upcoming movie role in American Gangster the movie,but T.I. instead goes into talking about how he could have been a better gangster during Frank Lucas' time. What? Somebody tell T.I. that he has kids that he should be setting an example for.




On The Real Frank Lucas:
Given the strong “stop snitching” credo within hip-hop, what did you think of his cooperating with authorities to shorten his 70-year prison term? His situation was unique because he didn’t tell on no drug dealers or other criminals. He got his standards shortened by telling on crooked cops.

On how the streets have changed:
Is there a character in American Gangster you would parallel to your days in the trap? I can’t even compare myself back in that day simply because it was a whole other day and age. When I was doin’ it, it was chaos. Real talk, it was easier then, too. Not taking nothing away from them ’cause they started it, but the police wasn’t hip to everything. By the time I started hustling, the police had cameras, the Internet, and forensics. [Back then] you could kill a {person*} at six o’clock in the morning on his doorstep and long as nobody seen you, you good. Now you got cameras on street lights. I feel like if I was a hustler back then, I’d have a way better shot at it. People actually respected the game. Whereas when I was a hustler, a {person*} would do anything for a dollar. Period.

Now you’re just let down. This ain’t this guy that he was on this record. And nobody seems to have a problem with it. It’s a lot of fake {stuff*} in it. I like to consider myself an intelligent person, and this {stuff*} is not something of intelligence anymore. It’s getting real young and stupid, and that ain’t me.

Rapper T.I. was arrested on Saturday afternoon right before he was to perform at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.It is said that Clifford Harris a.k.a T.I. a.k.a T.I.P,a convicted felon,tried to purchase firearms illegally. Specifically,three machine guns,two silencers,and a pistol.

"This convicted felon allegedly was trying to add several machine guns to an already large and entirely illegal arsenal of guns.Thanks to the good and quick work of ATF, he is now in custody and his firearms have been seized." -----David E. T.I Vs T.I.P Album Review-Saucy's Review

T.I vs T.I.P is rapper T.I's fifth studio album. Fifth?Yes,fifth. Listening to this latest album,one would not know that this is T.I's fifth album because for a veteran,T.I does not deliver as he should. After listening to all 16 tracks, I was disappointed to learn that there are about only two songs that carry a little weight:"Big Sh*t Poppin" and "You Know What It Is."

T.I. describes T.I vs T.I.P as being a "competition with himself" because there are no other artists that can compete with him-yes,T.I claims he is that good. Don't get me wrong,i like the concept of the album where an artist battles with his alter ego,but i was expecting so much from the self-proclaimed "King of the South." Is T.I doing anything lyrically,you ask? As usual, TI talks about money and how nobody has as much money as he does.How original. 50 cent along with so many other rappers make the same claims. T.I, I don't know what it is,but your Sh*t ain't poppin.

Akon Throws kid at Kfest concert;Dj Khaled We takin Over Review

Akon is in the news again and this time it is for throwing a kid in a crowd. Apparently Akon became upset after a young boy threw an object at the rapper. Akon became a bit mad and requested that his bodyguards get hold of the young boy. Once the singer got hold of the boy,he hurled him into an audience of cheering fans. Yes, he has done it again. Rapper Akon is in the news and is being investigated not for humping a girl on stage,but for hurling a boy into an audience. You can watch the clip below.

Song Review: I love "We Takin Over", but like all songs with great beats,sometimes the great beat drowns out the not so great lyrics. Well, i listened to the song and i read the lyrics and i was sad to learn that as usual, our rappers have nothing better to talk about than cars,women also referred to as "hoes",jewelry and guns. When are we going to change,people? I swear, the best verse was Akon's. I mean what is happening with hip-hop music? Somebody give me an answer.
Overall Rating: Great beat,bad lyrics. I give it 3.5/5 Hershey kisses(the beat alone would get 4.5 Hershey Kisses.)



Akon,Akon. What can i say? I am sad because i like Akon. I think he adds a lot of flavor to the R&B and Hip-Hop scene,but he seems to always be in the news nowadays. Why,Akon? Lettin Money get to you? Remember how you suffered to get to where you 're at now? Don't ruin your reputation as a great artist to silly antics.

Song Review: The song has a hype beat which is what ultimately captivates the listeners. As far as the lyrics are concerned, he is not really saying anything that he hasn't said before. The concept is that T.I. is King and he will express that in every album he makes. And though this will be his fifth album to date, we havn't really heard any new concepts from rapper T.I. T.I, we need new material baby. I am loving the beat to this song and the ryhthm as well,but i need some new material,baby.

Overall Rating: Definitely a song to bounce to. Overall good beat,mediocre lyrics- 4 hershey Kisses
